About the Baithak:

Join us on Shahjahan’s birthday anniversary weekend of 4 Jan. to explore the enigma, the lover, the brother, and the builder of the world’s most famous monument to love. Shahjahan, the devoted husband of Mumtaz, favourite grandson of Akbar. And father of the famous Dara, Aurangzeb and Jahanara.

One of the most handsome men of his time, with his Mughal-Rajput looks, deeply devoted to his Hindu Rajput mother, Rani Jagat Gosain.

Despite rivalries with his brothers for the Takht...he almost renounced it after his beloved wife's death.

Let us explore the fascinating intrigues of the Mughal court and his passion for architecture, which created some of the greatest monuments & city in world history…The Taj Mahal, the Red Fort and the amazing, rich Cosmopolitan city of Shahjahanabad.

We will visit the richest empire in the world of the time filled with European intrigues, and the heart of a powerful broken man who was overthrown by his own son. And died watching his wife’s Maqbara - the immortal Taj.
